Shapeshifter

From The Frost, the Flame, and the Moon

Shapeshifters (Mutatio imitor) are creatures that copy others through changing their form. Shapeshifters are often stereotyped as sneaky tricksters, but they’re really just regular people.

Common Culture

Most shapeshifters lack a typical common concept of gender. Shapeshifters are born without a concrete sex and will adapt to progress their species. Many shapeshifters now identify with genders due to influence from other species. Some identify as a gender (or genders) to fit in, and others may just because they feel comfortable labeling themselves as such.

Love is a large part of shapeshifter culture, as shapeshifters will unintentionally shape-shift into someone they love. Shapeshifter children may often find their parents hard to tell apart due to this.
