Frostbite is the Frost Elemental that lives near the top of the Mountain of Frost.
Personality
Frostbite appears very cold and aloof. Their voice is very monotone and sounds careless. Truthfully, they care a lot about others and are very hospitable. They may act like they would rather let an adventurer freeze than take care of them, but they truly care about the adventurers, even if the adventurers annoy them.
They take injuries and illnesses very seriously. For example, they will refuse to listen to any travelers wishing for alcohol when dealing with hypothermia, or travelers who insist they’re fine when they’re nearly frostbitten. Due to this, Frostbite carries around medical supplies with them when they leave their cabin.
Their wish to help extends to holidays such as the Festival of Warmth Giving, where they participate by giving hot cocoa to those in need.
They also have a somewhat secret affinity for fish. Frostbite considers fish a treat, as they live high up on a mountain and don’t get to eat them often.
Relationships
Adurere
Adurere and Frostbite met long ago as children. They complement each other’s personalities. Frostbite is the icy cold to Adurere’s burning hot. Frostbite is the straight man to Adurere’s funny man. The tsukkomi to his boke.
The two are not dating (at least in canon). They are best friends.
Gladiolus Edelweiss
Frostbite and Gladiolus met when Gladiolus had taken up the duty of finding a missing person. Gladiolus stopped right at the signs and knocked on Frostbite's door. He asked where the missing person was and found them in Frostbite's cabin. The two spoke and became friends over their shared interest in helping others.
Frostbite believes Gladiolus is a brave man for leaving everything to be himself. Frostbite admires his bravery.
Rosemary Edelweiss
Rosemary and Frostbite met through Gladiolus. Gladiolus brought Rosemary (who had no idea Gladiolus was her brother) up to visit Frostbite. Rosemary hit it off with Frostbite instantly. They quickly became friends despite their different personalities. Rosemary asks Frostbite for their hot cocoa whenever she visits.
Rosemary gives Frostbite hope for the Edelweiss Kingdom. They believe she will finally bring change to such a conservative kingdom.
Sleet
Sleet is Frostbite’s younger sister. She occasionally visits them. She sometimes brings over fabric and sewing supplies so Frostbite can practice making clothes for travelers with hypothermia.
